Here are a few of my favorite apartments buildings. All of them offer great locations, easy access to transportation, swimming pools and 24 hour maintinance.

Armando Montelongo – If you like single family real estate this is some interesting reading.
Weightlifting Shoes – Most modern apartment buildings have gyms. Why not get some great new shoes to go along with that great apartment?
Glucosamine for Dogs – Pet policies can be tough and costly if your dog destory’s your unit. Make sure your older dog stays healthy. Give him or her some glucosamine.
When you are looking into Colorado Apartments, make sure you find one that has 24hour on site maintenance services. This is advantageous for many reasons. One of the bigger benefits of 24h maintenance is that if you have an emergency in the middle of the night, you don’t have to worry about scrambling to find an emergency plumber who you will have to pay extra for. That is what the maintenance person is for. They are on call to help tenants with emergencies, and they get paid by the apartment complex managers, or owner.
There are many other advantages of having a maintenance person in Colorado apartments. One of the benefits of renting, not owning is that you don’t have to worry about problems in your home. If anything goes wrong, the dishwasher or stove stops working for example, you just call the maintenance person, and usually they will come by right away, or as soon as they can. You again don’t have to worry about trying to find the right person to come out and help you, nor do you have to pay extra out of pocket expenses.
Another advantage of having 24hr maintenance in Colorado apartments is that you don’t have to worry about lawn care. Raking leaves, mowing and trimming are already taken care of. In the winter they will provide shoveling of community walk ways, and de-icing of parking spaces. Any potholes and problems with driveways are all taken care of for you.
When you are looking for Colorado apartments, check with the manager to find out exactly what things the maintenance people do. There may be small things that aren’t covered, like replacing appliances that were broken by you. They may have limits on emergencies, like they may come out and turn off a water main to your apartment and then come back later to fix it. Is routine maintenance fully covered, and how long it will take to fix things? Is the maintenance person paid for by the manager or owner, or is it added to the rental costs?
Make sure that when renting Colorado apartments you read all the details of the contract before signing anything. Have them give you a listing of all of the maintenance staff’s duties, and what they don’t do. Knowing this ahead of time will prevent you from being charged extra. In some cases, extra charges for certain services can actually be higher than if you were to call someone from outside to come in an do the work.
Some of the things that Colorado apartments 24hr maintenance may not cover are cable and satellite services, cleaning the decks or patios, as well as other things. The cable and satellite problems are taken care of by the providers. Make sure that you check with the maintenance people before any of these are installed, you may be charged later for holes in the walls for cable, as well as any for satellite dish brackets and such.
Colorado apartments can easily be found online, along with valuable other tips and information that you need to know before renting. You can find many resources as well as fiding the right renters insurance services. It is vitally important that you get renters insurance in order to cover your personal belongings.

I’m moving to LA to work in the film industry. I need to find an area to live where it is safe and rent is reasonable.
I don’t know anything about life in LA so any advice is welcome.
Thanks!
Hehe, no job yet, trying out my luck for about a year.
I’m looking for a studio or 1bdrm, I’m hoping for $600 (what I pay now) but don’t expect that. I dont want roommates. Where is the ideal place to stay for some trying to break into the business. Near UCLA?
Probably the best mix of safety and reasonable rent (for LA, so still expensive) are Glendale, Burbank, and Culver City/Palms. You can expect to pay on the low end, $1200 for a decent 1 bedroom in an OK area, nothing too great, and $900 for a single. You’ll want to check out the specific neighborhood, as not every neighborhood may be acceptable to you. Westwood (near UCLA) is one of the most expensive areas in LA, besides being a very wealthy area, there is tons of demand for apartments due to UCLA, so you can expect to pay quite a bit more in Westwood. The entertainment industry is all over LA, from Santa Monica to Pasadena, so people live all over. Many industry people live in the valley because that’s all they can afford.
You need a car in LA, unless you can work it out that you live very close to your job and on a bus line, our public transportation is not good. But if you are in the film industry, a car is likely absolutely necessary more than for other jobs. You really want to live near your job, traffic is horrible. What should be a 20 minute commute can easily turn into an hour for no apparent reason.
If you don’t have a job, you can expect it may take at least 4 months to find a job, more if you’re looking in the film industry, as they have had massive layoffs and those laid-off will be the first to be hired back. Even top production companies have less assistants, readers, etc, and believe me, they can afford to hire more people back, but this is an opportunity to save money without losing face. Layoffs used to be embarrassing for companies, a sign of failure, but not anymore, it’s the thing to do. Smart business. Word is there are going to be some more layoffs at major studios coming up soon. Some people in LA, especially in the entertainment industry, have been looking for a job for over a year, and they have lots of experience. So if you can get a job before actually moving out here, that would be great.

and I need to stay in Chicago for another 3 months. So do you have advices except for craigslist? Thanks!
You can ask your landlord. Sometimes they let you go on a 3 month lease, or a month to month for more money, sometimes up to like $100 more a month. BUT you wouldn’t have to move and moving costs and hassle would be more than that. Ask.. They might be happy that you are willing to stay pay more money and give them more time to find another tenant.
But to answer your question yes there are still places that rent month to month for…. more money.
GIVE YOUR NOTICE that you will not be renewing your lease as of…XX-XX-XXXX but ask instead for a month to month for three months after that.
i do have a normal house 3 bed rooms 1 and 1/2 bathroom, however if i want to change my house into an apartment which divide my house to two seperate apartments that allow two family or individuals to live on it. is it legal to do this?
and is it legal to use some space from my backyard as well to build a house/apartments on it?
You will have to check with your local laws to decide what is required. Most areas have minimum standards for plumbing and such that you would be required to retrofit into the house to convert it to apartments. The same goes with subdividing your backyard. You will probably have to get this approved with the county and/or local municipality.
Possibly one day sale hoomes but I want to be able to work in property management while I better my skills to be a good real estate agent!

im moving to l.a this winter and i want to know what areas are cheap as far as renting apartments.
Going online to find the cheapest apartments is not gonna work. The cheaper a place, the less likely they will take the time to advertise on any website. And most who rent in cheap areas are not online looking for a place to live.
And if you want the cheapest monthly rates, then your surroundings will reflect that. Here are some nasty areas in the SGV.
-El Monte, especially south of the 10 freeway along Durfee Ave or Santa Anita Ave. Or along Valley Blvd and Baldwin Ave.
-Baldwin Park, any place along the freeway will be cheap, and so is the value of human life.
-Basset(all of it)
-Valinda(all of it)
-La Puente(most of it)
There are many cheap/nasty areas in the following cities. It is best if you take a ride through the areas to see for yourself because many places go from bad to good within a few blocks.
-Parts of Azusa are very cheap.
-Parts of Duarte are cheap
-Parts of West Covina are dangerous and cheap, especially along the freeway.
-Parts of Covina are very ghetto, oh I mean inexpensive.
-Parts of Pasadena are cheap and not worth the risk.
