When should I start viewing apartments if I want to move in at the end of June?

Me and my boyfriend are moving in together at the end of June, but we are unsure when to start looking round apartments. Can anyone give any advice?

Hi, as a landlord, I can accept potential tenants having to give a months notice in their current place – but in reality I don’t want my place standing empty for any length of time. If someone came to me in March and said, we’ll move in at the end of June, I wouldn’t want to keep the place available that long.

I’d say, middle of May at the absolute earliest, unless you can be flexible and bring forward your start date for the ‘right’ property.

How much should I charge to clean empty apartments?

I want to start my own cleaning business, mainly focusing on doing detailed cleaning on vacant apartments. What would be the average I should charge per apartment?

Better off sticking with an hourly rate. A one bedroom could take you 5 hours but the next one could have been inhabited by animals and take you 10 hours. Charging a flat rate per apt. will have you losing money in the long run since too many people leave a mess behind

What to charge for cleaning apartments after tenants leave?

What would you charge for a one bedroom detailed cleaning (plus carpet cleaning)? What about a two bedroom? I am thinking of starting my own cleaning business focused mainly on cleaning vacant apartments and I need an idea of what to charge. I live in Nashville, TN and would love some advice from anyone in the cleaning business.

Prices vary pending on location. So what to charge?

I suggest calling other local cleaning services in your area and tell them you want to get a one bedroom detailed cleaning. Ask them for an estimate. Contact several vendors to get different quotes. Then determine the average price and use that as your starting point for what you will charge for your own clients.

Good luck.

what is the fastest way to spraypaint apartments?

Posted by admin on December 12th, 2009 and filed under apartments | 6 Comments »

we are rookie spray painters for an apartment complex. Our problem is that we aren’t getting enough apartments painted fast enough and we need tips to cut down our prep-time and painting time. examples, painting around ceiling fans, not getting overspray paint on kitchen fridge and floor, a faster way to paint trim, a faster way to cover door knobs and switch plates, painting base and case, how not to get overspray on base and case. we tried spray painting trim then walls and ceiling but we get overspray on base and case and have to go back and hand paint overspray. we can’t cut in close enough with the sprayer. not getting over spray on carpetr without using a runner because when we paint the ceilings it will show over spray in center of carpet.

You need to tape off the trim to prevent any overspray and throw down a tarp pr plastic on the floor and over any furniture to prevent them getting paint on them, the simple fact is whenever working with spraypaint your gonna have overspray so everything you don’t want it on needs to be covered…..

What are some good apartments in Indianapolis?

Posted by admin on December 7th, 2009 and filed under apartments | 1 Comment »

I’m planning to move to Indianapolis, and I’m looking for any helpful recommendations on good apartments. Also, are there any areas I should steer clear of? I would like to stay under $675 and I also have a small dog.

Thanks!

None, I lived there for 10 years.I guess the only decent area would be northside of town, fishers ,carmel. But it may be more expensive. East side is bad, so is west. southside white trash area.
