My husband and I have been renting an apartment for over a year, but now Im trying to rent another apartment for my mom and my sister, the lease will be under my name, and Ill pay for it. Is this legal? Im not going to get in trouble for having two apartments, right?

It’s not illegal, but you need to be clear with the second landlord that mom/sis are living in the apartment and you aren’t. They may need to be on the lease. (People not on the lease are considered guests or trespassers and guests are usually limited to 2 weeks stays.)

I am planning to move out of state, so I can’t easily visit the apartments I am looking at. I want to know which sites have the best, most reliable information on rentals, and whether there are any websites to avoid.

Hi, I have a LCD tv I’m trying to hook up to our apartments built in prewired surround sound speakers. There are two audio outlets in the wall , each consisting of one red and one black place to insert what would seem to be speaker wire or audio plugs. What is the name of the necessary cable/wire/plug I need?

You need a stereo receiver. Your TV probably doesn’t have the capability of doing audio outputs over the red/black stereo connections. A simple receiver will do, something like this: www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8786361&type=product&id=1205365050011

That’s not the one I’m recommending, I’m just saying. Higher end equipment will be able to decode more types of audio formats, such as DTS: MA, but then again you have to have stuff that plays DTS:MA (like Bluray movies). Good brands include Yamaha, Denon, and Onkyo. Those 3 shops also have refurbished stores, so you can get a good unit at a significantly lower price. If you’re just looking for simple surround sound, the cheapest receiver that does 5.1 (or 7.1 if you have 7 speakers) will do.

Basically you hook up your cable box to the receiver, and then there should be a video output from your receiver to your TV. If you need another HDMI cable or something, try www.monoprice.com for good cables. They work just as good as the $100 Monster cables.

I really need to move out soon and i want to stay in orange county. All the apartments I have looked at so far are over $1,000 a month, and i cant afford that. Does anyone know of an apartment complex that is in a nice community and has low rent?

That is going to be near impossible to find. If you are looking for something under $1,000 you’re gonna have to go somewhere really ghetto like Santa Ana or Anaheim (most of N. Orange County). The only place I can think of that isn’t too expensive yet & is a nice place to live would be Ladera Ranch. A pretty new community in Mission Viejo (not sure if it’s considered a city yet). I’m not sure if you’ll find anything for under $1,000, but it’s more affordable then Newport Beach!

I have sims 2 apartment life, and I recently bought sims 2 pets. I couldn’t figure out why the dog wouldn’t pee, despite being outside and really needing to go. Then I read that you have to have plants for them to pee on, and sometimes they’re picky about which plants. But in apartments, you’re not allowed to plant flowers or trees, because it says "Location out of bounds." How can I make plants, so that the dog can pee?

This is an interesting question. I believe there is a cheat code which will allow you to put things outside the apartment life boundaries. I’ve tried many and none have worked for me yet, but they may work for you! There are some apartments that have backyards with plants. Another thing you can do is switch the dog for a cat. Keeping a litter box is easy. There is a ring you can buy in pet supplies that is like a puppy in a little pen that is pretty much just for apartments, but your current dog can’t live in it. I am getting an apartment where no animals are allowed, but i am going to keep my cats. How can i keep them hidden?

I’ve been looking for apartments on craig’s list and I find these beautiful 3 bedroom or 4 bedroom apartments in NYC for $1000 or less. What is the catch.

Most of them are scams, there is no apartment. Some "I am out of the country, please pay deposit for key to view" BS.

Orr, as otherwise suggested, that is your portion of the rent, rent for a 4 bedroom will be closer to 5k a month.

I keep trying to make apartments in the Sims 2 Apartment Life. I make the apartments and put in the cheat and the "myne" doors and everything, but when I click it it says that I have no apartments. And it says the cost is 0$ to 0$. Can anybody help me, please?
