Sometimes they let you go on a 3 month lease, or a month to month for more money, sometimes up to like $100 more a month. BUT you wouldn't have to move and moving costs and hassle would be more than that. Ask.. They might be happy that you are willing to stay pay more money and give them more time to find another tenant. :) But to answer your question yes there are still places that rent month to month for.... more money. :) GIVE YOUR NOTICE that you will not be renewing your lease as of...XX-XX-XXXX but ask instead for a month to month for three months after that.<br><b>References : </b><br> You can ask your landlord. In bigger cities most landlords will want you to sign a lease. Thats how it was in all of the big cities I have lived in. Where I live now, no one does leases, its all month to month. You should be able to stay in your current apartment after the lease is up. Most places will just go month to month when the lease expires. Your landlord may raise your rent or ask you to sign a new lease, but you can just explain that you need to stay for 1 more month and they will probably let you.
