North Vancouver is a fully developed area another words literally the city has no room left to expand, all the space available for housing development is fully used – developed. Now, they are tearing the old houses, old corner stores, whatever they can get their hands on to build high rises, because this area is so very – very lucrative. Look at the pictures of North Van 10 years ago and now, you will understand what I mean.

North Vancouver (aka Moodyville) is the oldest settlement in Lower Mainland – yes before the city of Vancouver before all of them except for New Westminster which at one time was the capital of this province of BC. Since 1800s North vancouver has been attracted many people and that attraction still continues. Sometimes demand slows down but it always exists. In 18th century the reason was logging, now one of the main reasons is the commute time to Vancouver only 12 minutes on the sea bus and yet still away from the city crowd. You can be in the office all day and only 1/2 hour later up on Grouse skiing. Since it cannot expand land wise it is expending toward to the sky and nobody is stopping the hungry real estate developers.

When I’m ready for this I’m going to have a way to put expensive furniture for dirt cheap (going to learn bench carpentry, make the stuff myself).

If you are renting by the week, yes, furnish is nice.

If you are renting for people to live there you do not want to do this unless there is an endless supply available to you, as you have to replace anything damaged or worn out.

Also you will limit who will rent to you, most people have their own stuff

Look for corporate apartments, which are the ones that many companies get or used to get for employees to stay in, usually on a temporary basis.

Many companies cannot afford to do this any longer so you may be able to still find one.

People who rent their homes out sometimes leave furniture.

Be aware that if you are renting a home or apartment that is already furnished, you may have to deal with a contract stipulating the care of such furniture. If you do, I suggest you go through the apartment with the manager or owner carefully and sign off on a checklist of conditions at the time of arrival. You don’t’ want to be responsible for any damage that occurred prior to your occupancy.

A better way would be to go to Walmart, K-mart, Target or on Craigslist and get a futon and a TV and just deal with that until you could do better.
