Golden Sands operates both types next to each other but there are no golden sands there , just a lot of construction in that area. Nothing good there except proximity to banks and shopping.

Yeah I totally agree that Dubai Apartments are many times cheaper than Dubai Hotels. So if you are planning a budget holiday than you should rent an apartment in Dubai. Also if there are more than one family then renting an apartment suits you as you can rent 3-4 bedroom apartments. If you Google or search at Yahoo you will find many sites that offer dubai rental apartments at reasonable rates. Depending on the number of people you can go ahead with 1 bedroom or more room apartment. Good luck

Short stay apartments are cheaper everywhere compared to hotels be it Dubai or anywhere else. So I would also suggest that if you are looking for privacy, more space and less cost then go ahead and rent Short stay apartments in Dubai. There are several companies in Dubai that offer furnished apartments and you will find it convienient to stay in one of them. Dunno what your budget, when are you coming and how many people are coming to Dubai with you so search and suit yourself.
